Taipei
Can't remember what this place is called, but it's to the north east of Taipei city.
One strange thing about Taiwan is that hostels are supposingly illegal there. There are still plenty of hostels, and you can still find them with a little effort, but you just won't get any help from the tourist information counter.
Taiwan was where I first used my new Nikon 28mm f/2.8, and it's also where I first discovered it to be defective (stiff aperture). By the time I discovered the defect, it was already my last day there, and I have already wasted plenty of shots.
